April Lockhart
April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 The seventh grade was when she began playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons, sparking her enthusiasm for songwriting. April Lockhart wrote her first song, Different at the age of 12. At the age of 14, April committed a large amount of time to writing music ideas and practicing music. Later on she would begin taking trips to write with her father to LA and NY. April began to include other relevant topics into the"Take my Hand song for some close friends, like peer pressure disabilities and even teenage suicide. Lockhart has a partnership with top clean-skin brand Ilia and also is a lifestyle influencer, with an increasing following of her own. Her disability is a part of her personality, but it's not all of the image. As a result Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't hide the fact that she is disabled, but the focus isn't on her disability either. The point is? The message? We have many different aspects, that our physical and mental identities don't always reflect what they appear. Lockhart with a short video message from Nashville's home declares that I do not want this to be a part of me. I am more than my physical self. This doesn't influence my day-to-day way of life. I go about my business as usual and have developed different ways of adapting. However, it's a component of me and I feel it's important that we talk about. Self-acceptance is a long marathon however Lockhart is truly an inspiration on that front. But she has admitted to going through phases with her body and sometimes having a feeling of insecurity when wearing specific types of clothes that showed off the arms of her. Now, though she dons whatever she wants and posts photos in those outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. Self-love, according to her, is a process. "I doubt you'll be there," she said. This is a process, and I'm not convinced that you will ever reach your destination. I believe having friends that are aware of you and know your heart is really important since they'll be those whom you can count on to remind you about what your worries about?
