I worked for months, working 12- hour days sanding floors and tearing down wallpaper with one baby strapped to my back while the other babies were playing into the playpen. Ha! I got away from the old furniture in order to spend more quality time with my children. This was precisely what I was looking for at the time. However, after just a couple of minutes the phone started ringing. There were calls from people asking me for help with interior decor and home renovations. The majority of them had attended my house during the open houses that were held for furniture. It wasn't long before I managed a large-scale home renovation company. I began by taking clients one by one with a speed I felt comfortable with. When I first heard about my home renovation business, I laughed. It's true that I laugh when I think about it.
