Katherine Heigl speaks to everyone regarding her "white bubble life" and how it's influenced how she raises her adopted multiracial children. The actress "Firefly Lane" told an interviewer that it didn't matter what color her skin was for her. But after having a conversation with her Korean-American adopted older sister, she noticed the differences between how others were treated by her. In my interview, I inquired of Meg about how she was treated while out in public, either in the presence of or without parents, the treatment was very completely different. Meg replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl addressed Parents about when she realized her ignorance. She said that she was angry and felt the need to use this anger to help her daughters. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son who is married to her 13 year old wife, Josh Kelley. Their daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is a Black 8-year old girl that was adopted by the couple in 2012.
